Otisville is a village in Genesee County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 882 at the 2000 census. The village is within Forest Township.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.0 square mile (2.6 km2). 0.9 square miles (2.3 km2) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 km2) of it (9.28%) is water.
As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 882 people, 343 households, and 244 families residing in the village. The population density was 999.1 inhabitants per square mile (387.0/km²). There were 369 housing units at an average density of 418.0 per square mile (161.9/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 96.15% White, 1.02% African American, 0.45% Native American, 0.11% Pacific Islander, 0.57% from other races, and 1.70% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.59% of the population.
There were 343 households out of which 38.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.9% were married couples living together, 14.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.6% were non-families. 23.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.57 and the average family size was 2.99.
In the village the population was spread out with 27.4% under the age of 18, 10.9% from 18 to 24, 32.3% from 25 to 44, 19.8% from 45 to 64, and 9.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 32 years. For every 100 females there were 92.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 86.0 males.
